Wops - Spots LP
One of the best Italian bands of the 80s most people still haven’t heard. Wops released 2 cult cassette tapes, but never managed to squeeze out a record. Like so many of their Italian punk and HC peers, the sound here is hugely influenced by American punk and early hardcore, but with a more catchy 70’s punk feel of southern California bands like The Zeros, or something out of the Dangerhouse catalog than bands like Negazione, or Raw Power, though Wops does reach speeds closer to HC at times. Absolutely fantastic material.
