Life / Destruct - Split LP
…To Stop The Conflict. The latest, and greatest from these 2 raw punk bands. It’s amazing to me that Life, who have been going over 30 years, and Destruct, who have been pumping out quality recordings almost annually for the last 5 years straight can continue to deliver hardcore at this caliber, exceeding what they have done in the past. At this point you probably know what these bands sound like, but if not, it’s carefully dialed in, and passionate hardcore punk, rooted in the spirit of Discharge, but each mutated by their own distinct influences and interests. Every facet of this record has obviously had a lot of effort and care put into it from the writing, recording, playing, art and packaging, and the statement it makes against conflicts around the globe. Its a level of, lets call it what it plainly is but rarely recognized, hard work, that bands just don’t seem to put in these days. And while that may sound critical, I’m looking at this positively, it’s an awesome time to be alive and into punk with records like this coming out and able to inspire a new generation of people. The older you get, it’s less and less common a record just blows you away, but this one does. I dislike calling things a “modern classic” very often, but get ready to have this survive countless record shelf purges down the road along side your Disclose/Totalitar, No Security/Doom, and other classic split LPs.
Includes large foldout promo poster.
